God Bless You Brothers:
My name is Silvia P. Zumaya, my son's name is Jose Manuel Zumaya Jr., he was sentenced by the jurors on April 28, 2009, for 15 to life plus 20 years in prison. My peticion is please help me pray for him, firt so he can be save and second so he can win his freedom. This Judicial System is very corrupt, I see it with my own eyes. May God bless and keep you all for this wonderful ministry. I was born again in Jesus Christ in late 2008, some time between by brothers arrest and his sentencing. All seemed to be going well at my brothers trial, he was innocent of the charges, and there was ** evidence to support the case against him.(The DA told my brother to give up the perpetrator or some one would have to take the fall, my brother said he's not * snich) It truly seemed like some kind of witch hunt on the part of the DA to put my younger brother away, ** doubt because he looked like * cholo, and his vernacular didn't help. At that time, most of LA county was on * gang raid, and he use to belong to * gang, but had been away for aproximately 6 years. I'm not defending him, although he didn't commit the crime, he shouldn't of been there, and for all I know it may have been * matter of time before he was actually guilty of * crime, so Gods will be done. The day of his trial I took * break at work to pray for him, but the only prayer that came out of my mouth was, "LORD keep him there until he's given his life to you". So to my brothers in Christ I ask, pray that my brother becomes your brother as well. Their are worse things than prison, like being apart from the will of God. ...** one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. Jn 3:3. But their is great hope. ..."It is not the healthy who need * doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."Mk 2:17 I found my mothers comment after I typed in my brothers name to read about his appeal, "which was denied, because my brother continues to deny our LORD", I don't believe I found it by chance but by devine appoinment. My mothers comment was erroneous, our judicial system is not corrupt, but rather ...The heart of man is deceitful and beyond cure, who can know it? Jer 17:9 the DA needed to win his case and the victim wanted justice at any cost. My God can set my brother free ...* light shone in the cell...and the chains fell off... Acts 12:7 through our fervent prayers he can come to * saving knowledge of our LORD God and saviour Jesus Christ and be free as Peter was. God bless you and keep you.

I think it is very much important that Prison fellowship should be encouraged at all costs. There is no other better thing than preaching the good news to the inmates, parolees and their relatives. However, for that to happen, all prisons should carefully monitor the needs of the prisoners and should be cooperative in aiding the churches and individuals so that they could lead the bible study inside the prison facility in a safe and well monitored atmosphere!
