The Life Church: No. 6 Fastest-Growing Church, 2016

The Life Church has adopted some of the more underprivileged schools in their region and have sought to provide just about everything they need, from computers to upgraded buildings to resourcing carnivals and other events. The church has done the same in the local correctional institutions. “We open our doors to ex-offenders, and we’re involved with some mentoring programs for offenders who are getting ready to be released,” says Senior Pastor David Baird.

“Four years ago, we made a missional decision that our weekend services were going to be from us, but not for us,” he says. “We give an altar call at every service, for people to receive Christ. Now, we have more people receive Christ in one weekend than we did in an entire year four years ago. We’re really intentional about giving people purpose and moving them along on their spiritual journey. And it’s working.”
