Creatively modify a traditional pastime to benefit the less fortunate.
With adult supervision, send your church's youth out in teams on a scavenger hunt to collect donations of food, clothing and school supplies for the homeless or impoverished. Let the "winning" team go to a local store to buy more items, and have all the participants sort the donations.
