Serve local schools and libraries through literacy efforts.
Collect donated books (new or very gently used) and give them to local school libraries or specific classrooms. Provide your church attendees information about how to become involved with local literacy programs or start a program of your own. The National Education Association’s observation of Read Across America Day is March 1, 2013.
