Outreach Inc. Announces Strategic Changes for Greater Ministry Growth
The reorganization aligns Outreach magazine with the company's Web initiatives under a new Outreach Media Group
VISTA, Calif., Feb. 1, 2012—Outreach Inc., the largest provider of outreach products and services in North America, announces a strategic plan to reorganize the company to better serve the church and fulfill the organization’s mission: to share God’s love and to empower the church to share the message of Jesus Christ.
The company changes involve the creation of the Outreach Media Group, a new department within the company that will include the award-winning Outreach magazine; SermonCentral.com, the largest sermon resource on the Web; ChurchLeaders.com, one of the fastest-growing sites to equip and inspire ministry leaders in every area of the church; and ChurchJobFinder.com, a growing resource to help churches and church leaders in their search for potential candidates or for the right ministry position.
The Outreach Media Group will be under the leadership of Steve Foster, vice president of media group and finances. Foster previously served as the executive pastor of New Song Community Church in Oceanside, Calif. Brian Orme, the founding and general editor of ChurchLeaders.com and general editor of SermonCentral.com, will now also join the Outreach magazine team as editor, succeeding Lindy Lowry, who served as editor for nine years. These staff and structural changes will position Outreach Inc. to leverage their resources and networks to serve the church in an even greater capacity in 2012 and beyond.
