Methodists Help the Poor Get Needed Medicine

Central Ohio residents with no prescription drug insurance or insufficient money to pay for needed medicines will find help by the end of February at Livingston United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio.

The church is slated to become home to the first of what the United Methodist Church’s West Ohio Annual Conference envisions as a future network of free pharmacies to help a growing population struggling to pay for the medications they need.

The church-based pharmacy plans to be open a few hours, three days a week initially, with plans to expand it schedule to three eight-hour days per week to serve the community.
