A nearly 90-year-old church in Dallas, N.C., is taking on a new name and a new vision to reach out to its community.

Hardin Baptist Church is becoming Venture and is engaging in new outreach ministries. In addition to working with local schools to provide mentors for high school students and backpacks with meals to needy elementary school students, the church is working with Habitat for Humanity to revitalize a troubled neighborhood.
