Back for its second year, The Elephant Room gathers seven influential pastors with a common love for the Gospel but different approaches to ministry to engage in forthright, blunt conversations on a variety of topics. Conversation subjects will include: What factors contribute to segregation of the races between churches and what should churches do about it? What do you do when a staff member fails morally? Is there a future for denominations? What are the "majors" of Christian doctrine that cannot be diluted or denied for a person to be a Christian? What elements must accompany a faithful presentation of the Gospel? How can a pastor effectively manage the pressures of ministry? What responsibilities do we have to local pastors who exist outside our theological boundaries, but within the body of Christ? Participating pastors are: James MacDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, Ill.; Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church in Seattle; T.D. Jakes of The Potter's House in Dallas; Jack Graham of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas; Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in Charlotte, N.C.; Crawford Loritts of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, Ga.; and Wayne Cordeiro of New Hope Christian Fellowship in Honolulu.
